Just a quick blog this week to say I’m so grateful to you all for supporting me and allowing me to do what I love.
I started my business full time on Phillip Island about 6 years ago ... and I’ve not looked back.
Becoming more authentically myself, has allowed me to coach, support and inspire others to do the same.
Thinking about my roles in sales, tourism and travel consulting, I see how much I’ve grown and changed.
At times I thought I was truly fulfilled.
But now ... I’m MUCH more.
So, thank you for being my clients and my tribe. You are awesome!
*whispering* ... psst ... look out for the Friday Freebies email ... for a special thank you gift.
This week's blog is about life and death ...
You might say ... 'Holy Moly Pip ... that's a bit intense for a Tuesday!'
And I say to you ... 'Maybe ... and yet ... maybe not.'
When you hear the words 'You only live once' ... what do you think?
Do you think ... 'No, that's not right ... I have lived many lives and will continue to live many more.'
Or do you think ... 'Yes, that's right ... because life is short and then you die! And this is all there is.'
Or do you think ... 'I'm not sure what that means?'
When I've heard people say 'You only live once' ... they are usually saying it to encourage me to take a risk ... get out of my comfort zone ... live a little ... don't worry about the consequences ... just do it ... (thank you NIKE).
Behind those words ... I feel there is a belief that is intriguing.
Behind those words ... is a belief that we are only these bodies.
Behind those words ... is a belief that when we die, we have not more life.
Behind those words ... I've realised ... is a level of fear ...
That belief is that if we don't live for today, take that opportunity, fall in love ... we will never get that chance again.
That belief is that there is nothing more than this lifetime.
Does that belief serve you?
Well, that's the curious thing ... it does AND it doesn't.
It serves you because you are encouraged to take risks, fall in love, follow dreams and live fully.
And it doesn't serve you because you are doing all that from a place of fear.
There is an undercurrent of anxiety, worry and stress.
Do you feel that?
Do you have anxiety, worry or stress that doesn't seem to be connected to anything specific in your life?
If your answer is yes ... then I suggest you try another belief.
Beliefs can be changed to help you feel better.
People do it all the time.
You do it with eating, for example ... you might believe carbohydrates are bad, so you stop eating bread. Then you believe fat is bad, so you stop eating fat. Then you believe fruit is bad, so you stop eating fruit.
All this in an effort to feel better, healthier, and more happy.
Why not do it with your life view!
I believe that we are Infinite Conscious Souls who's energy gets transformed back to the Universe, when our physical bodies die.
We get to choose where we go each lifetime.
We choose our parents and siblings.
We choose what lessons we are going to learn.
We have complete control.
This belief empowers and inspires me.
I remind myself of this belief when I feel any degree of anxiety, worry or stress.
I encourage you to ask yourself these 3 questions:
What beliefs make me feel more peaceful?
What beliefs make me feel upset, stressed or anxious?
What beliefs make me feel depressed?
What beliefs empower and inspired you?
Beliefs that come from a place of love and peace ... that encourage you to live your life with joy and abandon, those are the ones to keep.
Whether you believe that we have one life to live (or many lives) ...
It's YOUR CHOICE ...
Choose wisely and with mindful intention.
Choose to support yourself.
Choose to love yourself.
Choose to be peaceful.
It's your life ... make it AMAZING!

This week's blog I'd like to address the concept of being liked ...
I had a situation with a family member this week that brought my need for affection to the surface.
I had a conversation where I asked the person if we could be more loving to each other.
And they said 'I don't know how to do that.'
The more I tried to explain ... the more they pushed me away.
And at the end of the conversation I thought we had come to a better place.
But when I made contact the next day - I got a text back saying 'Thank you, but have all the support I need.'
It has become clear that my need to be liked has blinded me to the reality of the relationship.
There is nothing I can do (or say) if the other person is not willing (or cannot) be open.
You can't play tennis on your own.
The situation is also more complicated because the partner of the person is significantly influencing his behaviour.
I have spoken before about how we have needs of the heart that we are all running around day in, day out ... trying to be fulfilled.
David Ji says that the four needs of the heart are ... Acknowledgement, Acceptance, Appreciation and Affection.
I remember as a teenager that almost 100% of my time was spent trying to gain the affection of my classmates.
Do you remember that time?
The insecurities ... the fear ... the pain of rejection ...
It was exhausting.
Even if you were in the popular group ... it was still a tough time for your heart.
And as you grow older, you hope that you will grow out of your intense need to be liked.
But ... the truth is your needs of the heart are still there.
Not quite as raw and on your sleeve as when you were a teenager.
But ... still there.
This week I have learned that no matter how old I am, when someone says they don't like me, I want to change their mind.
My Ego / personality wants desperately to convince that person that they are wrong.
My Ego / personality is scared.
My Ego / personality is hurt by the rejection.
My Ego / personality wants to tell them how great I am.
My Ego / personality wants to argue my case.
But my Soul knows better.
My Soul knows that I am love.
My Soul knows that I am peace.
My Soul knows that I am safe.
My Soul knows that I am okay ... no matter what anyone else thinks of me.
My Soul knows that trying to convince someone that I am not what they perceive me to be be ... is futile.
My Soul knows that their perception is theirs and I cannot do anything about that.
My Soul knows that the only way to move forward is to LET GO ...
Let go of the desire to change his mind.
Let go of the need for him to love me.
Let go of the wanting to change things.
Let go of the trying to convince him.
Let go of the struggle to be something we are not.
There is a famous quote ... "If you love someone set them free ... if they come back, they are yours ... and if they don't, they never were." Richard Bach.
I've always liked this quote. It resonates on the Soul level.
*Note: I like to say: 'if they come back, it was meant to be.'
So, this week I'm asking you to consider someone that you could set free ... let go ... and release.
No matter who they are.
Family member. Friend. Colleague. Acquaintance.
For the greater good of both of you.
To raise your life to a higher vibrational space.
As you let go ... you set yourself free too ...
Your Soul will thank you.
If you need any support or assistance with this process, give me a call.
In my treatment room I have a poster on my wall that says:
"Don't worry about the HOWS ... from The Universe"
I was looking at it today, as I did a relaxing Reiki session with one of my clients.
And I remember putting up that poster when I started my business.
It reminds me to stop overthinking.
It reminds me to be in the moment.
It reminds me to let go of the planning.
It reminds me every day that the more important question is WHY?
The wonderful Simon Sinek writes that if we don't know WHY we are in business ... or doing or job ... or in this relationship ... or alive ... we lose the passion for those things.
How many times have you done jobs or been in relationships that don't inspire you?
How many of you are feeling unhappy, frustrated or overwhelmed?
Ohhh wow! Yeah!
That really struck a cord within me.
You know that feeling?
When something resonates to the core of your being.
You know that it's true when that happens ... right?
You may even feel emotional.
That is your Soul responding.
If you have a clear vision of WHY you are doing what you do ... you can make choices that support it.
Your WHY needs to be a compelling and inspiring and exciting one.
As humans I believe we crave purpose.
Actors in a scene will say 'What is my motivation?' to get into their role more fully.
So, I am asking you, this week, to consider ... what is my inspiration? ... for your job, relationship, or life.
Take some time to consider if the things you do are inspiring you.
And if they are NOT ... take a breath.
Honour and congratulate yourself for your awareness.
Then take ONE step today to move toward something that does inspire you.
Eg. read an inspiring book, listen to a podcast, or watch a video that lifts you up ...
If you need help with any of these steps, please feel free to call me on 0437 670 820
or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
I have been where you are ... and I know that you can find your WHY and be inspired too.
