This week's blog is about Reiki energy healing ... I am about to teach the next Reiki Level One course and lots of people have asked me ... "What's in it for me Pip?" ... and ... "Why would I bother learning how to do Reiki for myself when I can come to see you instead?" Good questions.
And I say to you ... there are SO many reasons ... taking care of yourself, reducing your own pain, helping you and your kids sleep, learning how to tap into your intuition, reducing your medical bills and many more ...
So, I thought maybe it would help if I get some of my Reiki Level One students to answer these questions:

This weeks blog is about numbers ... and also this week is MY BIRTHDAY!!!
... so I decided to talk about significant numbers that show up in our lives.
I am turning 44 this year ... so I looked up that number in Doreen Virtue's Angel Numbers book to see what message the angels have for me this year. And this is what it said:
44 = Many angels are with you now. You can ask these angels to help you with anything that brings peace to you and your loved ones. Don't TELL the angels how to fix a situation; just ask them to fix it. The Divine and infinite wisdom of the Creator guides you (through the angels) to a wonderfully ingenious solution.
What a lovely message ... I already speak to my angels but sometimes I might forget to ask them for help with my current situation. It's always good to be reminded that the angels can only help you if you ask.
Doreen says that when we see a number sequence (especially more than once in a short span of time), this is a message from our angels. The interpretation of the numbers in the book gives you some guidance and direction. This ancient wisdom of numbers having a vibrational frequency and meanings that can give us wisdom comes from teachers like Hermes, Plato and Pythagoras. Numerology is one of the few sacred sciences that has kept its magic from ancient to modern times.
The angels remind us that we are all alchemists, powerful enough to manifest our true desires through Divine magic.

It's Mother's Day! ... so I thought that this week's blog could be about mothering and nurturing yourself.
Mother's Day is great for celebrating and treating your Mum. And maybe if you also have children - so you will be celebrated and treated by them.
Now for people who don't have any children - your mission today is to MOTHER YOUR INNER CHILD ... treat him/her with kindness, buy him/her yummy things, take him/her out to lunch, take a walk on the beach or in the park, talk to him/her about their dreams and give them lots of love.
And especially for those of you who don't have your mum around to spoil and thank ... this mission is EVEN MORE IMPORTANT!
I mean ideally, you would mother your inner child on a daily basis.
We say so many negative, dramatic, upsetting things to ourselves ... it is not hard to understand that reminding yourself that you are worthy, you are safe, you are loved and you are protected on a regular basis will help you to find some peace.
Take time to surround yourself with ONLY LOVING and SUPPORTIVE things, shows, music, people, jobs, and conversations.
Louise Hay has lots of affirmations but this one is perfect for our topic: ... "I will not watch, read, or talk about things that will upset me today"
May your Mother's Day be filled with love, light and laughter!
p.s. you know what I am doing tonight ? ... watching the Eurovision Final with a glass of red wine and a cozy blanket.
This week's blog is about balance ... do you find yourself over-giving? do you say yes to things and then feeling resentful afterwards? do you want more balance in your life but are not sure how to do it?
Well, I have a few tips that might help.
Firstly, it is important to recognize if you are actually over-giving. If you give and love it and feel warm, fuzzy feelings of joy and no resentment - then you are NOT an over-giver.
However, my lessons over the years have taught me that there must be a balance of energy. When you give, there must be something received for both people to feel satisfied. Eg. Give time, Get a coffee. Give a coffee, Get gratitude. Give money, Get recognition. Give recognition, Get appreciation. And so on.
It is only when the giver goes into the transaction with unconscious and unexpressed needs that the issues surface. For example - if you give time and have an expectation that the other person will give you money - but they give you a thank you. The giver will go away with feeling unsatisfied.
What I am saying is that everyone needs to be on the same page.
TIPS for 'over-givers'
1. Take a minute (or an hour or a day or overnight) to think about any requests before you say yes or no. Time can help you get clarity on whether you really want to do it.
2. Be honest with yourself about how much you are willing to give. If you are feeling tired, resentful, angry, frustrated, pissed off ... then you are probably giving too much. It's time to stop.
3. Be clear with others about how much you will actually give. Eg. "Thanks for asking Bill, I'd be happy to help you move house - I am available from 10-11.30am on Saturday." or "Sure, Mary, I'd love to give you a massage - my fee is $60 or we could do a swap of services/skills ... what would you prefer?" or "Can I get back to you Julie? Next week is really busy. I'll look at my diary and call you if I can help."
4. GIVE TO YOURSELF ... one of the best ways to even up the scales is to RECEIVE .... whether you schedule a massage for yourself, have a bath, go to a cafe for a long lunch, make a time to catch up with friends, find a quiet space to read a good book ... whatever you find relaxing and rejuvenating.
It is the act of giving yourself time that is the best healer and balancer.
