This week's blog is about fear and love ... following the suspicious death of a local women on the island, you might expect there to be a significant increase in the amount of fear felt and expressed.
But instead ... I am pleased and proud to be seeing and feeling an overwhelming outpouring of love and support.
Donations have been given to help her children.
Vigils have been held.
Conversations have been had about our own experiences of violence.
Posts on Facebook have been empowering and community focused.
Some women are even getting tattoos of the white ribbon (representing standing up, speaking out and acting to prevent family) on their bodies.
It is a sad truth that most domestic violence in our society is men against women.
There are many reasons for this ... which I won't be going into today.
What I wanted to share with you is some light and hope.
I personally stand for non-violence towards men and women.
No one deserves to be treated in this way.
No matter what they have done or said or thought.
This expression of violence comes from a belief that you are wrong and I am right. It comes from a belief that the only way to show you I'm right is to beat you down (literally). It comes from a belief that we are separate - you and I.
We are not separate.
If we were separate these incidents would not affect us to the very core of our being. We'd not even care.
We are not separate.
We human beings care deeply.
We care so much that we feel the pain of the person who is hurt.
We care so much that we give money, hold vigils and tattoo our bodies.
We care so much that we reach out and help others to heal.
We are not separate.
Remember is that LOVE ALWAYS DISSOLVES FEAR.
Mary Dwyer says: "I am my fear, my past and my present. I am my courage. I am my togetherness with others and my aloneness. I am my joy and my sorrow. I am my grief and my celebration of Adrian's amazing death. I am my darkness and my small thoughts. I am light and my expanded bliss. I am tiny and I am vast. You are in me and I am in you. I am my dreams, my hopes for the future and I am also my regrets. I am, I am, I am." (page 173 - The Final Act of Grace).
If you are feeling deeply right now, be kind to yourself.
You are not alone.
Stay focused on the love my friends.

This week's blog is about Reiki and how it's not just about helping other people to feel better ... it's about learning how to put yourself first, trusting your intuition and reclaiming your selfish self with love.
This has been a topic of discussion in my classes over the past week, so I thought it would be helpful to address it here.
Let me just say that you are no good to anyone if you are suffering under the weight of other people's pain.
Really let this statement sink in.
As a Reiki Master Practitioner I teach and treat a lot of people. It would be crazy for me to take responsibility for fixing their pain, issues and problems. It wouldn't be healthy for me.
I mean, from a practical perspective there are not enough hours in the day to deal with all of them. Right?
So, I ask you ... in your life ... where are you taking on other people's pain, problems and issues? And how is it affecting you?
Are you feeling tired?
Are you feeling drained?
Are you feeling resentful?
Are you feeling pain in your own body?
I've found that sometimes we think that taking on someone else's stuff will make them love us or appreciate us or respect us.
But it usually does the opposite.
Nancy Levin says that Self care, Selfish and Self worth are sisters that help us reclaim our power.
HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU:
1. To be healthy, happy and empowered we need to take responsibility for ourselves. eg. Saying Yes when you mean Yes, and No when you mean No. This is a big one. If you have trouble with this, practice saying 'I'll have a look at my diary and get back to you.' or 'I'll ask my partner and let you know.' or 'Thank you for asking, leave it with me.'
Then give yourself some time to see if you WANT to say yes or no. Sometimes we automatically say Yes, then regret it later. As long as you are polite most people will be happy to give you time.
2. Practice handing back the issues that are not yours. eg. If someone is sharing a sad, dramatic or painful story, of course, you can listen but you don't have to offer to DO anything. The Dalai Lama suggests that we don't give advice unless it is directly asked for and even then he would suggest we practice saying: 'I'm sorry to hear that happened to you. What do you think you will do next?' This helps them and you to own your own stuff and be empowered.
3. You can call in Angels and Archangels to help by visualizing them or calling them in by their name. eg. Archangel Michael is fantastic for cutting cords of fear, clearing lower energies and helping us feel protected. Archangel Raphael helps to heal physical illnesses and guides healers. Archangel Raguel heals personal and professional relationships. *There are 15 Archangels will various skills - go to my FRIDAY FREEBIES page and download the Archangels document or Doreen Virtue's book below has lots more information.
4. Martine Salerno has an amazing meditation called 'The Violet Flame' where you visualize putting all your issues, worries or concerns into a violet flame to transform and clear away any unhealthy stuff.
May your week be empowered, peaceful and fun!
Hope this information gives you the permission you need to take back your power and live a more balanced life.

This week's blog is about how to engage in the world without getting sucked into the drama ...
I was listening to Dougall Fraser (author and coach) this week and he was talking about how empathetic people have trouble watching TV, and the news in particular, because they get drawn into the drama and feel very emotional.
I can really relate to this because I have not watched the news for many years. It was just too upsetting. I was constantly getting triggered by the graphic images and dramatic stories. So I disengaged.
I have heard a lot of my students and clients say they have done the same.
Dougall says that although this seems like a good thing to do, now we are disconnecting from the world.
How can we fully be of service if we are completely disconnected?
Yes, it is VERY IMPORTANT that we need to protect our sensitive energy and have strong boundaries.
But we also have a responsibility to step into our Light Warrior and Healer purpose. It's the only way that the world will shift from darkness to light.
Hiding away in our cave means our light is not fully shining.
So, here are Dougall's tips for re-engaging with the world.
1. Choose to READ the news not WATCH the TV.
- it is less dramatic
- find a credible news source that presents the facts
- choose new sources from both sides
- ideally don't read news on Facebook - more opinions not facts.
2. Select a concentrated amount of time to engage - 15-20 mins per day. Then switch it off.
3. Allow yourself to disconnect
- choose to honour your sensitive self
4. Choose if you will focus on domestic or international news
- dial in to where your passions are
- you won't get as overwhelmed this way
5. Grounding yourself is important.
- choose a ‘cause’ or an action step to take to keep it relatable - eg. write to a politician, donate money, or sign a petition or join a rally.
- when we take action change happens!
I loved these tips because they are very simple and clear.
Of course, only take steps that feel good and right for you.
Ask yourself where do I like helping?

Dougall Fraser - author of Your Life in Colour: Empowering your Soul with the energy of colour and But you already knew that; What a psychic can teach you about life and website:
This week's blog is about asking the right questions ...
I have just received my manuscript back from the publisher with notes to re-work it so that it can then go to editing.
One of the notes from the publisher was "Unlike other manuscripts I have worked with recently I do not believe you will require much time, nor energy to decipher the why you have written this story, and the what it is you wish to convey. In fact, I suspect you already know ... With your purpose in mind, you will find it easier to tie together many, if not all the events in your life for the reader, and show them exactly what it is you want them to see."
Interestingly, just last week my business coach suggested that I read the book 'Start with Why' by Simon Sinek, to discover the reason why I am in business and essentially, why people would want to buy my products and services.
Simon says that "people don't buy what you do, they buy why you do it. And what you do simply proves what you believe."
This really resonates with me.
I feel this truth in my gut.
And I think that this concept can be applied beautifully to your life purpose too.
How many times have you set a goal to travel or study or set up a business and not done it because you couldn't see how it could be done?
Have you ever wondered how successful people get things done?
Well, it turns out that they don't focus on the how or even the what ... not at the beginning anyway.
They focus all their attention on the why ... that is where the inspiration lies. That is where the passion is. That is where the power of your action comes from.
If you don't have a strong why ... a reason to do things ... travel, study, run a business ... you won't keep doing it. Even money is not enough to keep us motivated, there has to be something deeper that fuels us.
Otherwise, you will constantly get stuck in what I call the 'how-dead-end' ...
I'd like to travel to Europe ... but how? I don't know.
I'd like to study astrology ... but how? I don't know.
I'd like to write books ... but how? I don't know.
I'd like to run my own business ... but how? I don't know.
If you change the question to why ... you become more inspired, more motivated, more open to the ways that your desire could come true.
I'd like to travel to Europe ... why? because it will expand my mind, teach me how to be flexible, I'll meet new people and grow as a person.
I'd like to study astrology ... but why? because it is fascinating, it might teach me about myself and it is an ancient science that could be a great addition to my business.
I'd like to write books ... but why? because I have a passion to share the lessons I have learnt in my life, to inspire people and to help them become more of who they truly are.
As I ask myself the question ... why?
I am coming to realize that by sharing the stories of how I have become more authentically me ... I am giving other people permission to do the same.
It is the basis of my business, my classes and for the book too.
So, I ask you ... what is your why?

This week's blog is about Numbers ...
We have just started the new financial year yesterday and it feels to me like this is the perfect time to have a look at your Numerology.
Did you know that the day, month and year that you were born can significantly affect your career, your life purpose and your personality?
Did you know that when you were born there were certain Universal energetic influences that affected you and your life path?
Would you find it helpful to know what your life challenges are based on these energetic influences?
How would this information about you and other people, help you to deal with your family members and work mates?
There are many different types of Numerology.
Some of them add up your date of birth numbers until they get a single number.
Some of them give you a couple of numbers based on your time of birth and date and year.
Some of them are a combination of these.
The method that I have been using is based on the Chinese Feng Shui tradition. It looks at the flow of Universal energies on the day your were born and translates it into 3 x numbers that represent your personality, your stress or emotional number and your life challenges that you can overcome if you follow your life purpose.
I have shown many people this method and they have commented that it is the most accurate Numerology reading they've had.
I even had one lady come to me to understand her partner better during their separation process. It gave her massive clarity around his behaviour and the issues that had been coming up throughout their marriage.
If you are curious to try it out here are some options:
a) Come to see me for a one-on-one Numerology consultation. It will take 60 minutes. We can look at your numbers (and one other person's, if you like). I will also use my intuition to counsel you on taking your next steps forward using your Angels and Spirit Guides. You will get a FREE printed copy of your numbers and you can record the session to listen back later. $110.
b) Come to a Numerology class - the next one is on Saturday 7th July @2pm. We will look at everyone's numbers and discuss them. You will get a FREE printed copy of your numbers. $30 (*minimum 4 people required to run this class).
c) Call me on the phone for a one-on-one Numerology consultation. (*same as above for face to face consultation). 60 minutes. FREE copy of your numbers will be emailed to you. No recording for this option. $100
d) Email me with your full birth date and I will send you a copy of your numbers. No consultation. No recording for this option. $30.
I look forward to seeing you soon.
