This week … let’s talk about how to access the creativity, nurturing, and empowerment of the divine feminine, through Goddesses.

It’s important because – it’s about energetic balance; the world is very masculine focused. Healing cultural and societal wounds is deeply nurturing to everyone. It increases confidence. Also, creativity is the basis for innovation. Are you wanting to be connected, creative, and receive more because you’ve been too focused on action and over-giving? Goddess reconnection is for you.

Divine Feminine energy can be accessed through Goddesses from many cultures around the world.

The fact is that grandmother guidance for medicines and herbs is ancient and accessible.

There is a long and complex history of feminine energy being squashed, dismissed, and hidden including the witch wound (eg. did you know more women were killed in the 300 years of witch trials that in the Nazi gas chambers – wow)

And there is a very clear shift happening in the world that is encouraging a reconnection with the divine feminine for all people. Goddesses can assist you to do this … also we are going to touch on the Mary’s (Magdalene and Mother) who are technically ascended masters but also divine goddesses.

**Note: we will talk to the Ascended Masters in the next blog.

You can call up the Divine Feminine energy of the Goddesses by thinking or speaking their name or focusing on a picture of them. Every Goddess’ name has a very unique energy and power, so when you speak it, you invoke them. You can ask for assistance with your life issues or request that they help you with manifesting something in your life.

The important thing to remember is that Divine Feminine energy is creative, nurturing, empowering and that is their specialty. The Goddess that you are drawn to is probably an indication of similar personality traits and a possible past life connection eg. Have you always been fascinated with a particular country or group of people?

The most popular and well-known Goddesses are:

Greek, Roman, Norse, Celtic & Egyptian … but there are also Aztec, Chinese, Japanese, Australian Aboriginal, Native American … and more.

Let’s talk about some useful Goddesses for key life concerns and then (if you are inspired) you can do your own research into other ones.

Love / Relationships: Devi

Devi is a Hindu Goddess who is known as the “Universal” or “Great” Mother. Devi is the embodiment of God-power: absolute, creative, and supportive. She is best contacted while sitting alone in nature. Wrap your arms around yourself in an embrace, and imagine Devi is giving you a hug. Feel her love in your heart and body. Breathe in deeply. Mentally ask her to come into your mind, body, and spirit to detoxify any darkness, staleness, or blockages. Feel her beam loving energy throughout your body. You may feel twitches or sensations as lower energies are released. Ask her to stay with you until the purification has completed and feel the energy of renewal at the end. She can do the same process with your home, office and community.

Health: Maeve

Maeve is a powerful Celtic warrior goddess who is renowned for her strong will and her ability to manifest whatever and whomever she wants. She’s also associated with the menstrual cycle and feminine beauty. She is the fairy queen and land goddess. Call upon Maeve anytime you need guidance about natural and alternative healing methods. For instance, when you are in a health food store, ask Maeve to guide you to vitamins, minerals, herbs, oils, books and products to help with whatever situation you need assistance with. She’s the ultimate personal shopper. Because she’s the fairy queen the best place to connect with her is in natural settings, not manicured gardens but wild and magical places where the fairies live. Ask her to be your mentor and open doors for you on your healing journey – whether as a teacher or for personal healing.

Money: Lakshmi or Abundantia

Lakshmi is the Hindu moon goddess of prosperity and good fortune who brings blessings of abundance to everyone. Lakshmi also represents beauty, purity, generosity, and true happiness. Because her true mission is to bring eternal happiness to Earth, she helps us find meaningful careers that bring great rewards, including personal fulfillment. She reminds us that wealth, in and of itself, is not enough to create lasting happiness, it must be accompanied by spirituality and a feeling of accomplishment. Lakshmi loves a grateful and appreciative heart. So, as you call on her imagine that all your desires are fulfilled in a Divine way. Feel deeply grateful that this is so. Her loving help will manifest your wishes into form quickly. Stay focused on your desires and then give thanks to Lakshmi by mentally chanting: “Om Nameh Lakshmi Namah” the prayer of thanks.

Abundantia is the Roman goddess of success, prosperity, abundance and good fortune. She is considered to be the protector of savings, investments and wealth. Her image was on Roman coins for centuries. In Roman mythology, she would bring money and grain to people while they were sleeping, shaking her gifts from a cornucopia that she carries. Every time you connect with Adundantia you will see gold coins magically spilling from her hands, trailing behind and all around her. There will also be musical jingling, like the coins on a belly-dancer’s skirt, that accompanies her. To connect with her, hold one or more coins in your non-dominant hand (the one you don’t write with) and ask her to assist you with being carefree and filled with faith that your supply is already coming to you. Ask her to help you replace money worries with joy and gratitude. Then open your arms to receive all the gifts that the Universe has to offer. Let go and relax in the sure knowledge that you are completely taken care of, now and in the future.

Purpose: Brigit

Brigit is an Celtic warrior sun goddess who has struck a perfect balance of femininity and no-apologies power. She is the bright one, the bright arrow and the powerful one! Brigit is the female equivalent of Archangel Michael - fiercely protective and lovingly clearing those who call on her. She has a deeply loving but no-nonsense approach. She is known as the triple goddess of the flame, who uses her flame to purify us, increase courage, creativity, life purpose and promote healing. When she is nearby you may feel hot and begin to sweat. You can call on Brigit anytime, however, it’s especially effective to light a candle and stare at the flame as you ask for her to lend you her courage and power so that you can rise to the highest level of your abilities. Ask her to warm your heart and mind with her brightness to burn away anything that’s standing in the way of your Divine potential.

Power/Self Esteem: Kali or Pele

Kali is a Hindu goddess of endings of cycles, the death and transformation energy that lets go of the old and brings in the new. Some are threatened by Kali’s seemingly destructive power, but she is actually a loving energy that helps free us from fear. She only destroys that which keeps us in bondage, or which could slow or divert us away from our Divine mission, in the same way a mother would take away dangerous items from her children. Kali has the energy of a high-energy, supercharged woman on a mission. When you invoke her get ready for unbridled action. It may feel like she pushes you to quickly take action. It may feel unsafe, but she totally has your back. She helps you to not procrastinate, not delay or fear while you make decisions, choices, changes and move forward. Kali comes immediately if you think or speak her name: Kali, Kali, Kali. She arrives like a sudden and powerful rainstorm, with purpose and determination. She’ll give you very clear direction, without mincing words.

Pele is the Hawaiian fire goddess who rules the volcanoes. She is a powerful and trustworthy goddess who helps us tap into our passions and heart’s true desires. She reminds you that you have a fire burning within you that, when properly channelled, fuels us with passion and a sense of purpose. If we deny ourselves for too long, the hidden anger will smother and extinguish the flames of passion or we may erupt in a volcano of fury. And even then, she says that we can transform our anger and indignation into creative forms of beauty. Pele helps us feel empowered and to be more honest in relationships, especially when we are feeling hurt or angry. Light a warm-coloured candle (red, orange, yellow) then stare at the flame with reverence and respect. Ask for her guidance if you feel life is colourless in any way. Ask for her help to reignite your inner flame and illuminate the passion in your life. And assist you with summoning courage to speak your truth with kindness.

Peace: Kuan Yin

Kuan Yin is the Chinese Goddess of compassion, mercy and protection. She’s devoted to helping you fully open to your spiritual gifts, attain profound knowledge, enlightenment and reduce world suffering. She teaches us to live a life of harmlessness. She always hears and answers your prayers, and no special ritual is necessary to contact her. However, you may feel a more heart-centred connection with her if you imagine, hold, draw or look at flowers. Those who work closely with Kuan Yin often chant the mantra: “Om Mani Padme Hum” which means ‘hail to the jewel in the lotus flower’.

FEMALE ASCENDED MASTERS / DIVINE FEMININE

Mother Mary

Mary has been called the ‘Queen of the Angels’. She’s among the most loving, patient, compassionate and kind of the Divine guides. The angels love her, and they work with her to effect miracles. Yet, behind her gentleness, there’s a firm ‘mother bear’ who lovingly warns us to shape up. Mary is especially concerned with children, and she counsels us to use wisdom, intelligence, and love in our parenting decisions. She’s especially watchful over the Indigo, Crystal and Rainbow children, who bring gifts of salvation to the planet. Mary will assist anyone with a life purpose to help those psychic children and those whose intentions are to clean up the planet for our children’s future. You can call on Mother Mary to heal, particularly to work on forgiveness and self-compassion. She is all-loving and all-forgiving. When she appears, you may smell fragrant flowers or see sparkles of corn-flower blue lights. You’ll feel a sense of peace and safety, as if a powerful and loving mother has entered a child’s bedroom to chase away nightmares and replace them with sweet dreams. You can speak her name out loud or imagine Mother Mary or look at a picture or statue of her.

Mary Magdalene

Mary has been given a bad rap for centuries. In her gospels, Mary shares that she was Jesus’ partner. An equal. A teacher of Divine Love from the feminine perspective. It’s also been confirmed in recent times that she was not a prostitute and was in fact, a wealthy Jewish woman. Her voice has been smothered and deleted from important texts for many centuries because it didn’t serve the patriarchy to have women and men working together. Now the stories of strong women are being shared more freely, so that we can re-balance the world and it’s about time. If you’d like to connect with the energy of Mary Magdalene the best way is through the heart. Taking deep breaths as you place your hand on your heart. Ask to be reunited with the Divine Love within. Feel the realignment of masculine and feminine within. Feel the truth of all our stories being honoured. Feel the magic of empowerment, and deep sustained peace. That’s what Mary Magdalene gives us.
